Holy Ground
It was 2 a.m., wintry weather, stormy night
Then it came to me, an aura, a spiritual light.
Encompassed my whole being, body and soul
To a place like no other, least not here, I know.
The brilliance of color, rainbow extraordinaire
Profoundly breathtaking, experience to share.
On a subway, tunnels, overwhelmed with love
Guided by HIS hand, straight to heaven above.
No more pain, sorrow, no struggles of this life
Exhaultingly happy, leaps of shared delight.
Restfulness, never felt before, lay upon my head
Was I alive, dreaming, experiencing a near death?
Surrealistically, it's true, someone was here
Unbeknownst as to who, alleviated my fears.
Serene my senses, ascertain where I was
Angelical visitor, sent from heaven above?
Was this a vision, given gift of the vast unknown
Reaping my rewards, for the ones I have sown?
A short journey, Holy Ground, I did visit at last
If so, then I welcome, forgiven fate of my past.
Dedicated to Cancer Patients, My friend Linda, and her beloved mother, Eleanor.
