Until We Meet Again
Since you've been gone, silence rules my home
I sit here and confess my sins, which I must atone.
So that one day in my darkest hour, and it's time
HE will show mercy, and you will again be mine.
How I miss the days gone by, you were here with me
All the mornings we would talk, places we would see.
All the evenings we would snuggle, under moonlit skies
We would sit out on the porch, and watch the fireflies.
It isn't easy to be alone, a man needs his wife
I understand you had to leave me, for the other side.
I count my blessings everyday, you were in my life
Left me with such memories, and they do get me by.
Until we meet again, I know you're watching me
From a distant land, one that I cannot see.
I'll sit with my guitar, and pray it won't be long
Before we meet again, with love and a song.
